Millwall fans did the right thing
A nation sick of virtue-signalling millionaires and self-appointed moral arbiters telling them they are sinners
It was a typical Swedish winter day in Mariestad, with a few feet of snow covering every inch of the land. If memory serves me right, I was walking home from school and was only a minute or two away from the entrance to our building when, from an adjacent building, he walked out. Wearing the stereotypical black bomber jacket, black trousers and steel-toed boots, with shaved head, he represented everything my 12 year old mind dreaded. I had seen them on TV and in papers, but never one in person - and here I was, face to face with an actual neo-Nazi.
The moment he saw me, he charged at me with ferocious speed and clear intent. I must’ve frozen for a second before attempting to run away, but the next thing I remember was laying hunched over in the snow and covering my face, as the kicks came flying in. He must’ve punched me to the ground, as I was bleeding from the nose, but I don’t remember being kicked there.
Nor do I recall why or how it came to an abrupt end, but I decided to lie there and pretend to be dead for several seconds after he had left, just as swiftly as he had charged at me. My nose was busted up, I had two black eyes and I can still recall the pain in my ribs every time I inhaled.
This was my first encounter with a white supremacist, and I still carry the scars from our confrontation. Almost 25 years later, this time in Bulgaria, I was again beaten by two racists, although language barriers prevents me from knowing for sure that their assault was motivated by race.
I have no love for racists, and I have borne the brunt of their hatred. This is why I am so revolted by millennials so casually throwing terms like “white supremacist”, “Nazi”, “Fascist” and “racist” around, as if these concepts can just be levelled at anyone and everyone who doesn’t align with a leftist orthodoxy.
Even though racism was extremely rare even in my childhood, growing up in a small town in Sweden in the early 90’s, it is now as close to eradicated as we will ever get. As the Great Thomas Sowell says: “Racism is not dead, but it is on life-support.”
Ever since my 20’s, I’ve travelled across the world, and lived in Australia, Spain, Scotland, Amsterdam, Germany, Norway, Denmark and, for the last 15 years, London. I’ve spent extensive amount of time in The US and travelled around the globe, both for business and for pleasure. Everywhere I go in the Western World, I am welcomed with open arms by the people in that country.
In Britain, I have worked myself up from minimum wage to being in the top 5% of earners in less than 7 years, despite having no valuable degrees. I have been given more opportunities than any person deserves, and I have made a home for myself in this amazing country with its incredible people.
Ours is one of the most generous, welcoming, kind-hearted and unselfish societies on earth and in history, and this miraculous hospitality should never - ever - be taken for granted.
So, why do the multi-millionaires across entertainment and media insist on perpetuating the lie that we’re living in a systemic racist society, and we must self-flagellate by bending the knee and flaunt our anti-racism? Why do the British people, who have contributed to a world where the second highest earning demographic are British Indians, have to be told by footballers and pundits that they are part of a racist civilisation?
As always, the social media activists failed in understanding the reason behind the boos directed at the players during the Millwall v Derby game this weekend, and immediately accused every single one of those individuals of racism. This has now become the go-to claim of the anti-intelligent, immediately condemning any threat to their sanctimony as motivated by evil. It’s a tactic designed to preserve their innocence.
But the Millwall fans aren’t racists. They didn’t boo the players because they disagree with the self-evident claim that black lives do matter.
What they objected to was having adults who kick a ball for living and making fortunes doing so, preaching to them and advertising their righteousness, while expecting the working class supporters to denunciate their bigotry. People don’t usually take kindly to being preached to by over-privileged celebrities.
Maybe another reason the fans booed is that they are aware of the lies the public have been endlessly fed by mainstream- and social media about the tyranny of white people, and the plight of people of colour. These lies have now been exposed by mostly black intellectuals, like the aforementioned Thomas Sowell, Glenn Loury, John McWorther, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Shelby Steele and Coleman Hughes.
They know that George Floyd was not killed by Officer Chauvin, but died from a fentanyl overdose. Michael Brown never had his hands up, and never pleaded not to be shot. Ahmaud Arbery was not out jogging, and was not killed because he was black. Trayvon Martin was not killed because he was black. Neither was Breonna Taylor. The economical disparities between whites and blacks have nothing to do with racism.
They see a country with the most diverse cabinet in Europe, a brown, Muslim Mayor of London, non-white people at the top level of every strata in society - business, entertainment, sports, government - and they welcome it! Yet, despite this, they are told that they are active contributors to a “white supremacist society”.
And now, they are rightly starting to speak out against this idiocy. They are slowly but surely refusing to accept the baseless accusations being thrown at them at every turn. They are sick and tired of being told they are sinners, when they are members of the least racist societies on Earth and in history.
So no - the Millwall fans did nothing wrong. Perhaps there are racists among them and if he or she commits any crime against a person of colour because of the victim’s race, the perpetrator will be universally castigated by the crushing majority of British society.
Because this is the least racist, homophobic, misogynistic, transphobic, bigoted society in the history of our planet. And that’s a fact.
